Abstract
OBJECTIVE To study the hepatoprotective effect of Ganshu capsule on chronic liver injury in rats.METHODS The chronic liver injury models were induced by hypodermic injection of CCl4 in rats. The serum alanine ALT,AST,ALP,TP and ALB levels were measured by chromometry. The hydroxyproline(HYP) content in liver homogenate was determined by alkaline hydrolysis, and the liver pathohistology changes according to the ester, inflammation, dropsy, cellular necrosis and fibroplasias were observed.RESULTS Ganshu capsule can decrease biochemical indicator levels and significantly reduce ALP level and HYP content,it also can significantly improve pathological changes of liver tissues.CONCLUSION Ganshu capsule shows significant protective effects on chronic liver injury.
