Abstract

Objective To discuss the impacts of trifluoperazine(TFP)on NO,NOS,SOD and MDA contents in rats with epilepsy. Methods SD rats were divided randomly control group, model group,TFP low-dose group and TFP high-dose group. The establishment of chronic epilepsy model in rat:in model group, normal saline was used for peritoneal injection,4 mL/kg.In TEP low-dose group,TFP 1 mg/kg was used for peritoneal injection and in TEP high-dose group,TFP 2 mg/kg was used.Pentylenetetrazole,37.5 mg/kg was adopted for peritoneal injection in the above three groups 30min later. In control group, only normal saline was injected peritoneally. The hippocampal NO,NOS,SOD and MDA contents were detected. Results In model group,NO,NOS and MDA contents increased and SOD content decreased apparently, indicating statistical significance as compared with control group(P0.01).After medication,in TFP low and high-dose groups,NO,NOS and MDA contents decreased and SOD content increased, indicating statistical significant difference as compared with model group(P0.05,or P0.01).Conclusion Trifluoperazine can increase hippocampal SOD content and decrease NO,NOS and MDA contents in the rats with epilepsy and alleviate neuron injury of hippocampal tissue in the rats with epilepsy.
