Abstract

Objective: To observe the effects of traditional Chinese medical(TCM) Yiqi Qingdu Huayu(YQQDHY) Method in association with chemotherapy in curing patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC).Methods: Seventy-eight patients with advanced NSCLC were randomly assigned to two groups(each 39).The control group only treated with chemotherapy and the treatment group treated with the same chemotherapy and TCM YQQDHY Method. The clinical efficacy was evaluated after two courses of treatment. Results: The effective rate was 35.9%,33.3% in the treatment group and the control group respectively, but there was no significant difference between them. After treatment, the clinical symptoms, the life quality, marrow depression, median survival time and 1 year survival rate in the treatment group had statistical significance compared with the control group(P0.05).Conclusions: TCM YQQDHY Method combined with chemotherapy in advanced NSCLC is more effective in inhibiting or lessening tumor, improving efficacy, lengthening survival duration, alleviating the clinical symptoms and improving the quality of life.
