Abstract

Objective To observe the effect of Irbesartan with defferent time on blood pressure in patient s with renal hypertension. Methods 80 patients with mild to moderate renal hypertension were randomly divided into two groups, including control group treated with 150mg Irbesartan at 7AM and treatment group treated with 150mg at 7PM.The change of 24h BP and blood pressure diurnal rhythm before treatment and 8 weeks later were compared. Results The 24h,day and night average SBP,DBP of two groups all significantly decreased(P0.01).The night average SBP,DBP of treatment group significantly decreased compared with those of control group(P0.05).Compared with control group, the effectiveness rates of diurnal rhythm of SBP and DBP of treatment group significantly increased(P0.01).Conclusion Irbesartan can effectively decrease the blood pressure day-night rhythm in patients with renal hypertension by taken 150 mg at night.
