Abstract

Objective:To investigate the effects of Irbesartan in the treatment of patients with hypertension. Methods:Two hundred patients with hypertension were selected as search objects.Patients in Irbesartan group were given Irbesartan for four weeks. Those in control group were treated with Enalapril. Then cardiac function and Ambulatory blood pressure mon itoring were examined before and after treatment, and the total effective rate was calculated. Results:After four weeks treatment,in Irbesartan group, the total effective rate was 97% which was higher than those in control group, and no ad verse reactions was observed. After treatment 24 h,daytime and nighttime average systolic and diastolic blood pressure compared with those before treatment, the difference was statistically significant (P0.05);the morning peak of blood pressure also significantly reduced compared with before treatment,P0.05.Conclusion:Irbesartan treatment of hypertension with satisfaction, higher security, can reduce heart patients' risk of cerebrovascular accident.
