Abstract
Objective To observe the clinical effect of low dose of midazolam combined with fentanyl in gastroscopy examination for patients of obesity, and to evaluate its safety. Methods We selected 200 cases of patients of obesity who need gastroscopy treatment in our hospital from June 2012 to December 2013 as the research objects. The patients were divided into two groups according to random number table with 100 cases in each group. The control group accepted the pharyngeal spraying lidocaine local anesthesia, while the observation group adopted low dose midazolam combined with fentanyl on the basis of local anesthesia. Results The two groups′heart rate(HR),mean arterial pressure(MAP)and four different time of SPO2 showed no significantly different before anesthesia(P0.05).The HR,MPP after anesthesia(T2),1min(T3)after the mirror entering and the end of operation(T4)for observation group were more stable(P0.05);In the observation group, patients felt comfortable 67 cases, fair 27 cases, discomfort 5cases,pain 1case,which was significantly better than the control group(P0.05);In the observation group nausea, vomiting 5cases(5.0%),cough 7cases(7.0%),agitation 3cases(3.0%),hiccup 4cases(4.0%),the total incidence of adverse reactions was 19cases(19.0%),significantly lower than the control group of 46cases(46.0%)(P 0.05).Conclusion Low dose midazolam combined with fentanyl in obese patients has a better clinical effect and less adverse reaction compared with the control group.
