Overall Quality Control for Penstock Making & Installing of Yinzidu Hydropower Station

A conduit tunnel supplies water for three units,this is a feature of diversion system of Yinzidu Hydropower Station.Its penstock is unusual because its diameter is large,head bore by it is high and its HD is up to (1 600 m~2).The designer has raised stricter requirement to quality and examining than the standards because that the maximum inscribed ball diameter of the two fork tubs is 102 m,the geological conditions of the surrounding rock are unfavorable as well as its construction schedule is pressing.Penstock making and installing,therefore,were controlled from start to end.The contradictory among quality,safety and schedule was successfully solved and satisfactory engineering results are obtained.
