Abstract

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of Baihu Decoction and Astragalus in the treatment of obstinate liver cancer fever. Methods A randomized controlled method was adopted to divide 65 patients into treatment group(35 cases) and control group(30 cases);treatment group was given Baihu Decoction and Astragalus, and control group was given indomethacin suppository, with a course of 7 days. The fever was observed instantly after treatment,7 days and 14 days after treatment respectively.Meanwhile, the adverse reactions were observed. Results The effective rate of fever relief was 94.2% in the treatment group and 66.6% in the control group, with a significant difference(P0.01);in the treatment group the relapse rates were 14.28% and 5.7% respectively 7 days and 14 days after treatments, lower than 66.6% and 50% in the control group(P0.01);no adverse reactions were found in the treatment group. Conclusion Baihu Decoction and Astragalus is effective for liver cancer fever, without any adverse reactions.
