Abstract

Objective:To compare the therapeutic effects and safety of continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion by insulin pump(CSII)and multiple subcutaneous insulin injection(MSII)in the treatment of Type 2 Nasal Feeding diabetes mellitus. Methods:A total of 46 patients of Nasal Feeding diabetes mellitus were randomly divided into two groups,CSII group(n=24)and MSII group(n=22).The level of blood glucose and the rate of hypoglycemic episodes were compared in the two groups. Results:The blood glucose levels in Group CSII was significantly better than that in MSII group(P0.05,P0.01),hypoglycemic episode of Group CSII was also lower than that of Group MSII(P0.01).Conclusion:CSII can control blood glucose better than MSII for Nasal Feeding Diabetes Mellitus patients and can lower hypoglycemic episodes.
