On the growth of civil society and the cultivation of social capital

Civil society and social capital have become the central issues in china's academic circles since 1990s。The cultural and social values that civil society proposes,cooperation、trust、mutual benefits,etc,fully correspond to social capital theory。Social capital is nourished and developed on the base of civil society。The imperfections of civil society seriously restrict the formation of social capital。Therefore,we should devote major efforts to developing our civil society and realize the cooperative governance between governments and citizens so as to promote the volumes of our social capital。
