Effects of Shuxuetong on Early Nephropathy in Patients with Diabetes

Abstract

Objective To observe the effects of Shuxuetong on early nephropathy in patients with diabetes. Methods 62 patients with early diabetic nephropathy were randomly divided into control group (31 cases, regular therapy) and treated group(31 cases, regular therapy + Shuxuetong) . The course of treatment was 4 weeks. Before and after treatment, glomerular filtration rate (GFR) and urinary albumin excretion rate( UAER) were determined respectively in all patients. Results Before treatment, GFR and UAER were comparable in the two groups. After 4 weeks' treatment, GFR and UAER of treated group significantly improved compared with control group. Conclusion Ligustrazine has a benefical effect on early diabetic nephropathy.
