Abstract

OBJECTIVE To observe the clinical effects of combined use of telmisartan and kallidinoenase on the treatment of early diabetic nephropathy.METHODS Seventy-two patients with early diabetic nephropathy who met the diagnostic criterion were randomly divided into two groups-control group(n=36) and treatment group(n=36).Patients in the control group received daily treatment with telmisartan,and patients in the treatment group received daily treatment with telmisartan and kallidinoenase.The patients were undergone examinations for changes in the mean arterial blood pressure(MAP),blood urea nitrogen(BUN),serum creatinne(Scr),urinary album in excretion rate(UAER) and urine β2 microglobulin(β2-MG) after the twelve-week medication.RESULTS UAER and β2-MG reduced significantly after treatment in the two groups(P0.05).UAER and β2-MG in treatment group decreased significantly than those in control group(P0.05).CONCLUSION Combined use of telmisartan and kallidinoenase is a good therapy for early diabetic nephropathy.Combined use of the two drugs may decrease urinary album and delay the progress of diabetic nephropathy.
