EFFECTS OF LIGUSTRAZINE ON EARLY DIABETIC NEPHROPATHY

Abstract

Objective To observe the effects of Ligustrazine on early diabetic nephropathy(DN). Methods Sixty-two patients with early DN were randomly divided into control group (31 cases ,regular therapy) and treated group (31 cases ,regular therapy plus Ligustrazine). The course of treatment was 4 weeks. The glomerular filtration rate (GFR),urinary albumin excretion rate(UAER),blood and urine β 2-microglobulin(β 2-MG) were determined for both groups before and after the treatment, the side effects during the treatment were observed as well. Results Blood sugar, GFR, UAER, blood and urine β 2-MG were improved very much for the both groups after the treatment (t=2.917-5.126, P0.05), but the treated group was much better than that of the control group in terms of GFR, UAER and blood β 2-MG (t=2.105-2.864, P0.05). No obvious side effects were found by using Ligustrazine during the treatment. Conclusion Ligustrazine has a beneficial effect on early diabetic nephropathy.
