Abstract
A Water soluble tetrablock polyether of straight chain structure, PR 23, is prepaed for dehydrating high water cut(80%) viscous heavy crude oil of district IX of Karamy produced by steam huff puff method instead of an oil soluble demulsifier, KN 1, which becomes uneffective. The synthesis, performance properties, and field test results at oil gathering/water treating plant No 92 of PR 23 are presented in this paper. With PR 23 in 80 ppm at dehydrating temperature 70—82℃, qualified crude of water content ≤0.5% and separated produced water of oil content 40—50 ppm are obtained.
