Abstract

The crude oil produced in region x of Huabei Oil Fields is heavy (density at 20℃ 0.961-0.992 g/cm 3), viscous (viscosity at 50℃ 708-13100 mPa·s), of high sulfide(4.28-8.27%) and resin asphaltenes(32.7-60.8%) contents and thus is difficult to dehydrate. On the basis of experimental data for 19 single commercial crude oil demulsifiers of different molecular structure and by using synergetic principles, a combinational demulsifier, SHD, is developed for the aimed crude oil and is evaluated in laboratory to seek for the optimum use level at given dehydrating temperatures. The water cut of the produced crude decreases from~30% to 4% after having been sedimentated at 45℃ in the tank. Such crude is transported by car to the gathering plant for further dehydration by an electric chemical way.
