Abstract

Objective:To understand the accidental injury distribution in cites of Sichuan Province.Methods:Using data(1998~2000) of city surveillance spots.Results:The leading three causes of accidental injury in city residents are accident,suicide and drowning,the standardized mortality rates of which are 14 15 per 100000,7 60 per 100000 and 5 36 per 100000 respectively.Conclusions:Based on index of YPLL standardized by age,the first cause is drowning(YPLL is 49 10),the second and third causes are accident and suicide respectively.The main cause of death in 0～10 years group is drowning,the proportion of which is 51 04%,while it is accident in 10～?20～?40～ and 60～ years group.
