Abstract

Objective: To explore the significance of combine detection of MIF,MMP-3 and IL-8 in premature rupture of membranes and chorioamnionitis, and their relationship with premature rupture of fetal membranes(PROM) and chorioamnionitis. Methods: Using immunohistological method to investigate the distributions and expressions of MIF,MMP-3,IL-8 in the specimens of 75 PROM patients and 70 non-PROM patients.Using HE staining to define histopathology diagnosis: chorioamnionitis and unchorioamnionitis. Results: The quantity of MIF,MMP-3,IL-8 positive cells in fetal membrane in PROM patients were significantly higher than those in non-PROM patients(P0.001).The quantity of MIF,MMP-3,IL-8 positive cells in fetal membrane in PROM patients with chorioamnionitis were obviously higher than those in PROM patients without chorioamnionitis(P0.05).Conclusion: MIF,MMP-3,IL-8 all play an important role in pathogenesis of PROM,they are related to chorioamnionitis closely.
