Abstract

Objective To investigate relationship of amniotic fluid Interleukin-6 and MMP-9 levels with premature rupture of membranes and chorioamnionitis. Methods From Oct 2010 to Feb 2012,20 cases with pPROM,25 cases with tPROM and 40 normal maternal were selected.amniotic fluid IL-6 and MMP-9 levels were detected. Results IL-6 and MMP-9 levels in three groups had significant difference(P 0.01).Level of pPROM and tPROM were more than control group(P 0.01).Conclusion Fluid interleukin-6 and MMP-9 levels show correlation with PROM and chorioamnionitis.
