Breeding of Mini watermelon variety——Jingling No.1

Jingling No. 1 is new small fruited watermelon variety developed by Jingzhou Academy of Agriculture Science in Hubei Province. It is developed by using inbred line 2032 as female parent and inbred line 2105 as male parent. The whole growing period is 90-95 days,fruit development period is 28 days. The fruit is short oblong shaped with dark green skin and narrow stripes. The flesh is red with fine,crisp and juicy flesh. The center soluble solid content is 11.5%. The average fruit weight is 1.5 kg,the yield per 667 m2 is 2450 kg. It is suitable for production in greenhouse in Hunan,Jiangsu,Jiangxi, Shandong, Anhui,Beijing,Hebei provinces.
