A Study of Professional Development for EFL Teachers in China

At present,a critical problem for raising the education quality of the universities in our country is to promote teachers' professional development.Facing the new challenge and new circumstances of reform of Chinese college English,we all know it is essential that how to strengthen self-professional development of English teachers and reinforce the training of college teachers and how to train English teachers in professional ways.For these reasons,in this paper,three parts have be discussed,namely connotation,direction and solutions of teachers' professional development.
