Abstract
Objective To explore the effect of long-enduring nursing intervention on the quality of life of stroke patients. Methods Two hundred and seventy-eight patients with stroke admitted in our hospital from 2009 to 2011 were randomly divided into the control group (n=139) and the intervention group (n=139). Patients in the control group were treated with routine nursing, while those in the intervention group were treated with long-enduring nursing. The quality of life of patients in the two groups was evaluated by GQOLI. Results Compared with control group, significantly higher scores of life quality were obtained in the intervention group. The scores of material life, physical function, psychological function and social function were 93.4, 93.0, 89.6, 90.6 in the intervention group and 62.4, 70.8, 58.4, 51.2 in the control group, respectively. The total scores of GQOLI assessment for the intervention group and control group were 92.8 and 63.1, respectively, with statistically significant difference between the two groups in all the indexes (P0.05). Conclusion The quality of life in patients with stroke can be effectively improved with long-enduring nursing intervention.
