Abstract
Objective To compare and study the clinical efficacy and effect of different administration routes of insulin in the treatment of diabetes. Methods 100 cases with diabetes in Department of Internal Medicine of our hospital were selected and randomly divided into two groups, group A and group B, with 50 cases in each. Group A was treated with continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion by insulin pump, and group B was treated with multiple consecutive subcutaneous injection. The changes of relative blood glucose indexes, time to achieve glycemic control, the incidence of hypoglycemia of the two groups before and after treatment were compared for exploring the difference in effect between different insulin administration routes in the treatment of diabetes. Results The total efficiency of insulin pump group(96%) was significantly higher than that of subcutaneous insulin injection group(80.0%), P0.05. Conclusion Both continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion by insulin pump and multiple consecutive subcutaneous injection applied in clinical practice can significantly control the blood glucose, reduce the incidence of hypoglycemia, which are of important significance in improving the prognosis and quality of life of the patients.
