Abstract
Objectives To analyze the influencing factors of the utilization of health-care services by studying health status and utilizations of health-care service in community residents of Haidian District of Beijing.Methods This paper used the typical sampling method.A questionnaire survey was conducted among community residents over 15 years old to investigate their health status,heath care-seeking attitudes and their pattern of health services utilization.Results Of 981 individuals during a 1-month period,377(38.4%) people reported symptoms,245(60.0%) of whom visited medical practitioners.The visiting rate was affected more substantially by the gender,age,monthly income and chronic disease morbidity.The prevalence rate of chronic disease was 42.7% and the treatment rate was 64.9%.People concerned about medical level(43.2%),social insurance scheme(25.1%) and medical care convenience(13.3%) the most while seeking service.Conclusions With the spreading of the national health care policies,community health service has been gradually recognized.The consideration of medical technology and treatment convenience is the key to residents' choice for medical care.We need to improve our treatment and first-aid technology,increase investment in medical equipment,carry out family health care and two-way referral activities,accelerate the construction of information systems,thus we can meet the demand of patients.
