Abstract

Objective:To search the efficacy of lamivudine (Hepatine) in treatment of hepatitis B with negative HBeAg.Methods:65 patients with negative HBeAg and positive HBV DNA were randomly divided into 2 groups.31 cases in the test group received lamivudine 100mg·d -1 , po ,for 2 years.34 cases in the control group were given interferon α 1b 3×10 6 u·d -1 ,im,for 4 weeks, then changed to 3×10 6 u daily,im,qod,up to 2 years and were visited for 1 year. Results:After the course of treatment,HBV DNA tuned to be negative in 87.1% in treatment group compared with 76.5% in control group.HBV DNA turned to be negative in 80.7% and 26.5% in the two groups with significant difference( P 0.01).Side effects had not been found. Conclusion:Lamivudine is able to inhibit HBV replication.
