The clinical value of the plasma BNP in the acute myocardial infarction patients

Abstract

Objective:To investigate the value of brain natriuretic peptide(BNP) in the evaluation of heart function and prognosis.Methods: 51 patients of acute myocardial infarction were selected,including 29 male patients,22 female patients.All the people of control group(n=25) are normalin selected coronary angiography(CAG).The difference of plasma BNP level,which was measured by fluoroimmunoassay,and left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF),which was detected by color Doppler,between groups classified by degree of coronary artery lesion and prognosis,was analyzed.Results:The level of plasma BNP elevated in the patients.It was positively correlated with the degree of heart failure(r=0.72,P0.05) and negatively with LVEF(r=-0.48,P0.05).The level of plasma BNP between PCI group and thrombolysis group was not significant(q=2.23,P0.05).Between current group and PCI thrombolysis groups,the level of plasma BNP was significant(q=4.25, P0.05).Conclusions:The level of plasma BNP is a useful maker for diagnosis of heart function and prognosis in AMI therapy of PCI thrombolysis can improve the prognosis of patients and decrease in hospital mortality of AMI.
