Type of acute myocardial infarction and BNP levels before and after PCI treatment

Abstract

[Objective]to explore B-type natriuretic peptide(BNP) level of the different type of acute myocardial infraction and the change of BNP before and after percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI) treatment.[Methods]A total of 100 patient who were diagnosed as acute myocardial infraction(AMI) and received PCI treatment in the Third Hospital of Xingtai City.The patient was divided into acute ST elevated myocardial infarction group(A group) with 55 cases and non-ST elevated acute myocardial infarction group(B group) with 45 cases.The concentrations of BNP at the hospitalization and after 48 hour of PCI were recorded.The relationships between different types of AMI and the BNP level,the correlation of BNP level and the degree of coronary lesions,and the relationship between BNP level and cardiovascular event in 6months were analyzed.[Results]The BNP level of group A was higher than that of group B(108.8±44.3,83.1±28.9,P0.01),In group A and group B,The postoperative ?BNP level was obviously lower than the preoperative BNP level,with significant difference(108.8±44.3 vs 78.7±27.7,P=0.000;83.1±28.9 vs 65.1± 20.9,P0.01).Gensini score was positively correlated with the preoperative BNP level(r=0.484,P0.05).With the increasing of the postoperative?BNP levels,the incidence of cardiovascular event showed upward tendency.The incidence of cardiovascular event of patients with BNP85.1 pg/ml was obviously higher than that of other patients,and significantly higher than that of patients with BNP≤55.0 pg/ml(χ2=6.04,P0.05).[Conclusion]After exclusion of heart failure factors,the severity of coronary lesions is positively correlated with the BNP level which is obviously decreased after the improvement of acute myocardial infarction ischemia.The incidence of postoperative cardiovascular events increases with the elevating?BNP levels in 6 months. measuring the concentration of BNP in Peripheral blood plays an important role in assessing the degree of coronary lesions and identifying the progress of AMI.
