Abstract
Objective:To determine the content of paeonol in Compound Cortex Moutan Decoction by high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC) method. Methods: The samples were analyzed by a VP-ODS column, with mobile phase methanol-water(50∶50) at flow rate of 1.00 ml/min,detection at wavelength of 274 nm and the temperature at 30 ℃.Results: The calibration curves of paeonol were in good linearity over the range of 5.36~26.8 μg/ml(r=0.999 7).The average recovery rate was 99.12%(n=5) and RSD was 1.25%.Conclusion: The HPLC method is simple, accurate and reproducible, and it can be used for the quality control standard of paeonol in Compound Cortex Moutan Decoction.
