Abstract

Objective To explore the efficacy and safety of aripiprazolea as an adjunctive treatment for obsessive-compulsive disorder(OCD).Methods Totally 55 OCD patients were assigned into two groups to randomly, observation group took orally sertraline plus aripiprazolea and control group did single sertraline for 8 weeks.Efficacies were assessed with the Yale-Brown Obsessive-compulsive Scale(Y-BOCS) and safety with the Treatment Emergent Symptom Scale(TESS) before treatment and at the end of 8 th week. Results At the end of 8 th week, the Y-BOCS scores of observation group were lower significantly than that of pretreatment and control group(P0.01);Significant and total effective rate were significantly higher in observation than that in control group(P0.05).Adverse reaction of both groups were mild. Conclusions Small dose aripiprazole as synergist of SSRI antidepressants in the treatment of patients with obsessive compulsive disorder has promising prospect.
