Observation of chronic heart failure treated by combination of Yiqi Wenyang decoction and western medicine

Objective To observe the effect of combination of Yiqi Wenyang decoction and western medicine on chronic heart failure(CHF).Methods 208 CHF patients were randomly divided into two groups.Treatment group(n=105) received Yiqi Wenyang decoction combined with western medicine.Control group(n=103) received western medicine alone.The effect of heart failure and heart function,left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF),peak early diastolic mitral flow peak/late diastolic mitral flow(E/A ratio) were observed in the two groups.Results The total effective rate in treatment group was 87.6%.The total effective rate in control group was 64.1%.There was significant difference between two groups(P0.05).There was significant difference between before and after treatment on LVEF and E/A in two groups(P0.05).There was significant difference between control group and treatment group on LVEF and E/A after treatment(P0.05).Conclusion Yiqi Wenyang decoction can improve the clinical symptoms of patients with heart failure and heart function,improve LVEF and E/A ratio.
