Abstract
Objective: To observe the effect of Wenyang Yixin decoction treatment on echocardiogram results of chronic heart failure patients. Method: 100 Patients with chronic heart failure were divided randomly into observation group and control group, 50 cases in each group. Both adopting conventional treatment, the observation group were treated with Wenyang Yixin decoction, increasing and reducing dose discriminately, while the control group were given intravenous infusion with SMI 30 mL plus 200 mL 5% glucose. Changes in echocardiogram results shown on patients after the treatment were observed and compared. Results: After the treatment, LVEF, SV, and CO in patients showed a significant increase both in observation group and control group; the difference was highly noticeable after the treatment(P0.01). After the treatment, LVESV and LVEDV in patients of both groups also showed a significant decline; the difference was highly distinct after the treatment(P0.01). Statistics showed a significant difference of the recorded indicators between observation group and control group(P0.05). Conclusions: In comparison with control group, Wenyang Yixin decoction treatment can significantly improve the echocardiographic results.
