Selection of operative methods for glaucoma secondary to dislocation of lens

Objective:To evaluate the operative methods and therapeutic efficiencies for glaucoma secondary to dislocation of lens.Methods:In 32 cases(34 eyes) of glaucoma secondary to dislocation of lens,various operative methods were used,depending on the causes and positions of the dislocated lens: extraction of lens combined with anterior vitrectomy,trabeculectomy or combination of these 3 operations.In 8 cases intraocular lens of anterior chamber type were implanted.Results:Postoperatively,vision improved in 18 cases,while remained the same in the other 16 cases.Intraocular pressure were under control in all cases 6 months postoperatively,the lowest being 12mmHg and the highest 24mmHg.Conclusion:Depending on the causes and positions of the dislocated lens,different operative methods can be used and effectively cure the glaucoma secondary to dislocation of lens.
