Abstract
Objective To study the clinical effect of one-visit root canal prepared by ProTaper nickeltitanium instrument. Methods 350 teeth of 48 patients with pulpitis and chronic periapical periodontitis requiring root canal therapy were included in this study.Teeth in group 1 were prepared by ProTaper nickel-titanium instrument.Teeth in group 2 were prepared by K-file.The postoperative and long term effects were analyzed after treatment. Results There was statistically difference in postoperative pain between two groups P0.05.There was no statistically difference between two groups after one year follow-up.Conclusion ProTaper nickel-titanium instrument might reduce postoperative pain in one-visit root canal therapy.
