Abstract
Objective To compare the postobturation of pain and the therapeutic effects of hand-used Ni-Ti ProTaper instrument and stainless steel K-files in single-visit root canal therapy. Methods 106 teeth were randomly divided into 2 groups. All teeth were treated with root canal therapy in single-visit.Hand-used Ni-Ti ProTaper instrument and stainless steel K-files were used respectively in treatment. Results The pain intensity of the first group was significantly lower than that of the second group within 1~7 days(P0.05).After 12 months, the efficiency rates of the two groups were not significantly different(P0.05).Conclusion Root canal therapy using hand-used Ni-Ti ProTaper instrument can significantly decrease postoperative pain.
