Abstract
Objective To establish an HPLC method for the determination of phenol in compound camphor liniment. Methods HPLC method was used. The column was ZORBAX Eclips XDB-C18(4.6 mm×200 mm,5 μm).The mobile phase consisted of methanol-water(70∶ 30)at a flow rate of 0.8 mL/min.The detector wavelength was set at 270 nm.Results The calibration curve of phenol was in good linearity over the range of 4.51~112.8 μg/mL,and the average recovery rate was 99.93%.Conclusion This method is rapid, accurate and reliable. It can be used in quality control and determination of phenol in compound camphor liniment.
