Abstract
Objective: To establish a method for determining camphor in compound camphor spirit by highperformance liquid chromatography( HPLC). Methods: HPLC( Agilent 1200) was performed on a Diamonsil C18 column with a mobile phase of methanol0. 2% phosphoric acid( 60: 40) at a flow rate of 1. 0 ml / min and a detection wavelength of 289 nm. Results: Camphor showed a good linear relationship between peak area and concentration within 0. 21. 6 mg / ml( R2 = 0. 9993),and the average recovery rate was 99. 39%. Conclusion: This HPLC method is accurate, simple, and repeatable and can be used for determination of camphor in compound camphor spirit.
