Abstract

Objective To study the surgical method and effect on patients with acute severe craniocerebral injury. Methods 42 patients with acute severe craniocerebral injury admitted into our hospital from January 2005 to December 2012 were selected and evenly divided into observation group and control group,21 cases in each group. In the control group, patients were provided with conventional treatment, while in the observation group,on the basis of the control group, the standard large hemicraniectomy was added. The curative effects in both groups were observed. Results The cure rate and mortality rate in the observation group were 57.14% and 19.05%,which were remarkably superior to those in the control group whose cure rate and mortality rate were 23.81% and 47.62% respectively.Besides, the complications occurred in the observation group(28.57%) were fewer compared with those in the control group(66.67%).There were significant differences between two groups(P0.05).Conclusion In the treatment of acute severe craniocerebral injury, the standard large hemicraniectomy can obtain a favorable clinical effect with few complications, which can be selected as a preferred method.
