Abstract
A new catalytic spectrophotometric method for determining trace nitrite has been developed. This is based on a nitrite-catalyzed redox reaction between phenosafranine and potassium bromate in sulphuric acid. The linear range of the method is 0.36~0.56μg/mL, the detection limit is and has a good selectivity. The method has been applied to the determination of trace nitrite in rain water samples, the relative standlard deviation is 2.8%~3.5%, the recovery efficiency is 98%~102% and results are satisfactory.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
