Abstract

Graft co-polymer of starch-acrylamide, tested by IR, was prepared by microwave radiation and chemical graft. The experiment showed that its flocculating property was affected by the graft copolymer s concentration, flocculation time and pH of the solution. When applied as a flocculant to treat sewage, better effect was showed than the ordinary poly-acrylamide.
