Abstract
Objective To study the extraction techniques before the determination the contents of tanshinone ⅡA in Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge. Method To determine the contents of tanshinone ⅡA in Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge by HPLC after three extraction methods. Result The contents of tanshinone ⅡA is the best with Soxhlet's extraction. Conclusion The Soxhlet's extraction is sensitive and accurate with good re-producibility which can be used in quality control of Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge.
