Abstract
A phenol-sulfuric acid method has been developed and validated for the quantitative determi-nation of polysaccharide in seaweed polysaccharide tablet. The determination of polysaccharide was performed by using glucose as standard, and monitored with UV detector at 490 nm.The calibration curve was linear(r = 0.998 2) in the concentration range of 20.16-100.80 μg/mL.The average recovery, relative standard deviations(RSD) were 99.55%,0.56%,respectively.The method was simple and accurate and can be used to determine polysaccharide in seaweed polysaccharide tablet.
