Abstract

Objective To investigate the effect of sal B on angiogenesis of the chick embryo chorioallantoic membrane(CAM).Methods Forty-eight 7-day-old fertilized eggs were randomly divided into 6 groups,PBS(phosphate buffer solution)group, different concentrations of sal B(150.00,50.00,16.67 and 5.56 mg·L-1)groups and VEGF(vascular endothelial growth factor)group, the chorioallantoic membrane(CAM)models were made, and the carriers with subjects were put on the CAM.After incubation for another 3 days at 37.8 ℃ at constant humidity, their effects were evaluated. Results The angiogenesis area in sal B 150,50 mg·L-1 groups was obviously increased compared with PBS group(P0.01,P0.05).Conclusions The result shows that sal B can obviously stimulate angiogenesis of the chick embryo CAM.
