Study on the Relationship between Social Support and Mental Health Status of Hydro-electric Power College Students

Abstract

Objective To study the relationship between social support and mental health status of hydro electric power college students. Methods Three hundred and twenty six waterpower college students were surveyed using Social Support Scale and SCL-90. Results All nine-factor scores in SCL-90 for waterpower college students were related to all the factor scores in social support. The significant differences existed between urban and rural students and among students in different grades in social support, however, this difference was not significant between male and female students.Conclusion Social support is related to the mental health status of college students.
