The Relationship Between Mental Health and Social support of College Students

Abstract

OBJECTIVE To investigate the status of mental health and social support of students in medicine universities,to explore the relationships between mental heath and social support,to provide informations and references for the mental health education. MFTHODS 725 college students were tested with Social Support Rating Scale(SSRS)and Symptom CheckIist(SCL-90).RESULTS College students in universities of Chinese medicine have certain mental health problems;the significant grade differences existed in social support;significant differences also existed among students from different types of family in subjective support and employing support, the correlate analysis revealed that significant relationships existed between mental health and social support.CONCLUSION Social support is related with the mental heath of students in the medicine university.
