Abstract

Objective To evaluate and study technical prope rty of vanadate ox idation method for measuring total(T) bilirubin(BIL) and direct(D) bilirubin(BIL ) in serum. Methods As comparing with the diazo method,content s of total bili rubin and direct bilirubin in serum were assayed by the vanadate oxidate method ,and it was performed that the precision test ,recover test,linear test and interfere test for the vanadate oxidation method. Results There was a good corr elation between the vanadate oxidation and diazo method. The daily variation of total bilirubin and direct bilirubin were about0.55%~2.68% and 0.76%~3.33%,and the day variation of total bilirubin and direct bilirubin was about 1.21% and 2.08% ,respectively. The average recovery rate of total bilirubin and direct bilirub in was 101.3% and 101.5%,respectively. The linear range of total bilirubin was as high as 684.0umol/L,while that of direct bilirubin was as 250.0umol/L. Hemog lobin did not significantly interfere for measuring total bilirubin ,and did a little negative interfere for measuring direct bilirubin,and lipidem ia did not significantly interfere with the detection. Conclusions The v anadate oxidation m ethod was accurance,and could be used in routine measuring for total bilirubin and direct bilirubin.
