Abstract

Objective To evaluate and study the technical property of enitrate oxidation method for measuring total bilirubin in serum. Methods As compared with the diazo method and to analyze and conclude the measuring property of the enti-method.contents of total bilirubin in serum were examined using the enitrate oxidate method. Results There was a good correlation between the enitrate oxidation and diazo method and the vanadilcm-acid oxidalion method. The daily variation of total bilirubin were about 2.1%,and the daily variation of total bilirubin was about 2.78%,respectively.The average recovery rate of total bilirubin was 99.8%,respectively.The linear range of total bilirubin was as high as 342.0 μmol/L.Hemoglobin did not significantly interfere with measuring for total bilirubin and did little to negatively interfere with measuring for direct bilirubin.Lipidemia did not significantly interfere with the detection. Conclusion The enitrate oxidation method was accurate and thus can be used in routine measuring for total bilirubin.
