Abstract
The main bridge of Fumin Bridge in Tianjin is a single tower and spatial cable plane self-anchored suspension bridge with a main span 157.081 m and side span 86.4 m,and the main cables of the bridge over the main span are of the three-dimensional geometric shape whose projection in elevation and in plan is parabolic. In the design of the spatial main cable system of the bridge, lots of the technical problems were to be confronted, particularly with regard to the control of various influential factors in the construction process of several key structural nodes. In this paper, the key techniques for the spatial cable system of the bridge are briefly described.
