Abstract
The main bridge of Fumin Bridge in Tianjin is a single tower and spatial cable plane self-anchored suspension bridge. In the installation of the main cables and the first round tensioning of the hanger cables of the bridge, the measures of geometric shape control of the cables were mainly taken and the survey control procedures for the construction of the spatial cable system were very important. This paper describes the survey control techniques for the cable system installation of the bridge in aspect of the survey instrument setup,three-dimensional coordinate system establishment, survey error analysis and successful solution to the problems of the geometric shape survey in the construction of the cable system.
