Abstract
The aim of the present study was to explore the association between genetic polymorphism of MBL and susceptibility to pulmonary tuberculosis in Xinjiang Han population.A case-control study was conducted to genotype for H/L、P/Q and A/B SNPs in MBL gene from 231 patients with tuberculosis in Xinjiang Province using the sequence-specific polymerase chain reaction(PCR-SSP).Gene frequency(f) and odds ratio(OR) were calculated and the result were compared with those of 226 health individuals. Results indicated that the frequency of HLA-AA homozygote genotype in the group of control was significantly higher than that in the group with tuberculosis(χ2=4.576,OR=0.613,P0.05);and the frequency of HLA-AB in the group with tuberculosis was significantly higher than that in the control group(χ2= 4.821,OR=1.673,P0.05).The results showed that HLA-AA homozygote genotype was evidently uncorrelated to the incidence of tuberculosis disease. It was probably a protected gene in tuberculosis for Han population in Xinjiang.Furthermore,as HLA-AB evidently correlated to the incidence of tuberculosis,it might be a susceptible gene in tuberculosis for Han population in Xinjiang.
