Abstract
Objective:To investigate the association between the polymorphism of HLA-A gene and susceptibility to tuberculosis in Jiangsu Han population. Methods: One hundred and thirty-eight patients with tuberculosis were tested for the HLA-A gene using the polymerase chain reaction with sequence specific primer(PCR-SSP)technique,and the results were compared with those of 100 healthy individuals.Antigenic frequency and genetic frequency were compared and Odds Ratio was calculated. Results: The frequency of HLA-A30 in the group with tuberculosis disease is significantly higher than that in the group of healthy control(χ2=7.480,P=0.006,OR=3.060).Conclusion: The results showed that HLA-A30 was probably susceptible gene in tuberculosis for Jiangsu Han population.
