Abstract
Objective To analyze the characteristics of blood donors with disqualified preliminary blood screening test. Methods ALT and HBsAg were detected in voluntary blood donors. The relationships among the qualified rates of blood and the positive rates of ALT and HBs Ag in serum, age, body mass, seasonality of blood donation were analyzed. Results The voluntary blood donation in Central Blood Station of Nanyang City reached 22,512 person-times from 2011 to 2013. A total of 24,512 blood samples were screened,of which 22,284 were qualified and 2,228 were unqualified, with the unqualified rate of 9. 1%.There were statistically significant differences in the unqualified rates of ALT and HBs Ag among the 3 years( P 0. 05). There were statistically significant differences in the unqualified rates of preliminary blood screening among voluntary blood donors with different ages, body masses and seasonality of blood donation( P 0. 05). Conclusions Analysis on the disqualification of ALT and HBsAg in preliminary blood screening of blood donors can provide reliable references for the clinical practice. Therefore,it is necessary to promote voluntary blood donation vigorously and strengthen preliminary blood screening with a great effort so as to improve the safety of blood transfusion.
